Ross Notes

I thought Ben Hammersley’s “Small Pieces, Slowly Moving” benchmarking script for popular web service API’s was pretty nifty, and was thus saddened when he turned it off.

But– he DID release the source code, so running out of excuses, I got off my ass (or, since I was sitting the whole time, “got ON my ass”) and set up an installation here on karchner.com. I’ve already done some basic tweaking (like replacing “Unix Timestamp” with the easier to read “Hours ago”) and I have some ideas for more services to add (allconsuming.net, Feedster and Blogdigger RSS search results, ping-o-matic, and blo.gs all come to mind).
