On a tip from the roomate/ex (who works up the street, at the Hotel Hershey), I drove down to Hershey today to grab some photos of the renovation currently happening at Milton Hershey School’s Senior Hall– the building where I spent my high school years.
On the sections where the outside walls are intact, you can tell that the inside has been largely gutted– sunlight from windows on the other side of the building shine through.
Other parts of the building have fared far worse:
The wind was blowing pretty hard this afternoon, and the tarp that covered much of the east wing was ripping apart as I watched. If I would have waited around a while or come back later, I probably could have gotten a better look at it the skeletal framework that was hiding underneath:
And, no– I didn’t jump any fences, I stayed on the legal side of the barriers.

Ross, thanks so much for doing this. It’s sad to see, but it served us so well and will undoubtedly serve more to come. Thanks for the pics. They’re great!
